Storm Debris and Brush Cleanup in Frederick, MD
After a storm, or after a weekend of clearing the fence line, the pile is usually bigger than the trash can and the car trunk. We load limbs, brush, leaves and yard debris onto our truck, haul it away and rake up behind us. Written price first, $100 minimum. The owner, James (Jay) King, is on every job.
All I can say is “WOW”! They did a demo project at our home. Excellent service: they arrived on time, were very respectful of us and our property, did an outstanding demo job (including clean-up and removal of debris afterward)…
What we clean up
- Fallen limbs and branches that are already on the ground, cut down to a size we can load
- Brush piles from clearing overgrown beds, fence lines and wooded edges
- Leaves and grass clippings, bagged or loose
- Storm-damaged fencing, play sets and small sheds, torn down and hauled in the same trip (see light demolition)
- Everything else the storm left in the yard: patio furniture, trampolines and blown-around junk
Loading, hauling and disposal are in the quoted price. We don't take down standing trees, and we stay away from anything touching a power line: that is the utility's job, so call them first.

What the county yard waste program takes
Before you go: rules, hours and fees change. Check the linked county pages before you load up.
If you would rather haul it yourself, here is what Frederick County publishes:
- It can't go in the landfill. By Maryland law, yard waste is not permitted to be disposed of in landfills, which is why the county runs a separate yard waste and compost program. Source: County Yard Waste and Compost Program (checked October 2026).
- Where and when. Yard waste is dropped off at 9031 Reichs Ford Road, Frederick, Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 4:30 PM, rain or shine. Source: County Yard Waste and Compost Program (checked October 2026).
- Branch size. Prunings and trimmings must be smaller than 6 inches in diameter and no longer than 8 feet. Source: County Yard Waste and Compost Program (checked October 2026).
- Not accepted. Food scraps and other household compost. Source: County Yard Waste and Compost Program (checked October 2026).
- Cover the load. Maryland law requires every load to be covered, and the county can turn away an uncovered one. Source: County Yard Waste and Compost Program (checked October 2026).
- Cost. Residents can drop off up to five 30-gallon yard waste bags a day at no cost. Larger loads go through the main entrance and are charged by weight; current rates are on the program page. Many towns also collect yard waste at the curb on their own schedule. See our pages for Frederick, Middletown, Brunswick, Walkersville and Thurmont, and the county landfill guide for everything else that goes to Reichs Ford Road.
